Our first Special Person's Day in Kindergarten was a huge success! We were so happy to be able to meet those that our students chose as their special person. We have tons of pictures to share! Thank you to all those that showed and for your support!

It was one of the most fun days yet in Kindergarten!!!! Everything we did involved the number 100. Even our snack involved counting to 100!
Its the day that all the kids (and teachers) have been waiting for....FINALLY! Monday will officially be the 100th day of school!
We look forward to seeing your child's smiling face and spending the day working on the number 100! On Friday, February 14th is also our 1st annual Special Persons Day/Friendship Day! We have fun activities for your child and their special person to do together. Please make sure to send your RSVP by Monday, February 10th so that we can plan for everyone! Have a wonderful weekend! Stay warm! The weather has made it a very interesting start to the second half of the school year! The kids will have indoor recess when the temperature is 16 degrees or below. Please make sure to send your child with a hat, gloves, mittens, and a warm jacket. Heading into the second half of the school year, the pace of what we are learning is going to get faster and more challenging. The sight word list that was sent home yesterday may seem overwhelming, Mrs. Good and I were overwhelmed too. The kids were actually very excited and were trying to read the words yesterday! Here is a fun sight word video to help practice at home...there are many more on YouTube! Hope everyone is having a wonderful break!!!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
To celebrate all of our hard work up to this point, we decided as a class to have a pajama movie party! It will be a great way to wind down our busy week.
The kids will be able to watch The Polar Express while enjoying hot chocolate and a special treat :) Please make sure to send your child in pajamas that are warm enough to play outside or send an extra pair of pants As the kids said, "This is the best day ever!" the Thanksgiving Feast was a blast! The kids enjoyed eating together as a family and as Native Americans or Pilgrims. Thank you again for all your donations and support!
Winter seemed to come a little early :/ Mrs. Good and I are still planning on having the Thanksgiving Feast on Monday. The cafeteria will still be serving the turkey and mashed potato meal. :)
Unfortunately, our Special Person's time at the end of the day that was scheduled will have to be set at a later date. We really appreciate your flexibility. Happy Thanksgiving! As the year progresses, we will be learning more and more. The kids love this song to help remind them we have to keep trying and keep working! :) Instead of our paper and pencil math...we decided to put a twist on measuring length. The kids learned to compare themselves by height and length to put themselves in order from shortest to longest. So much fun!
